Empowering the Girl Child in Rural Rajasthan
Education is the most powerful tool for change, especially in the rural heartlands of Bhadsoda, Bhinder, and the surrounding Mewar region. At Mahatma Gandhi School, we are proud to support a vibrant community of 300 students, where 80% are girls from local and neighboring rural areas.
For several years, Dr. Mustafa Boxwala, a founder member of Vidhya Kranti, has been personally dedicated to this school’s growth. Today, that support is reaching new heights with major infrastructural and digital upgrades.
2025 Milestones: Building for Success
This year, we successfully completed a significant expansion project totaling 1,600 square feet at a cost of 16 Lac INR. This includes:
- Two Brand New Classrooms: Providing a spacious, modern environment for learning.
- A New School Kitchen: Ensuring students have a dedicated space for nutrition.
Digital Literacy: The 20-Computer Lab
We believe every rural student deserves 21st-century skills. To make this a reality, we have:
- Transformed one of the new classrooms into a specialized Computer Lab.
- Donated 10 new computers and custom furniture, bringing the school’s total to 20 workstations.
- Launched computer classes with 35 students already enrolled.
- Vidhya Kranti is fully funding the salaries of the computer teachers to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction.
Safety and Sustainability
A better school is a safe and comfortable school. Our recent technical and facility upgrades include:
- Security: Replaced the 2TB Hard Disk for existing CCTVs and added four additional camera units for full campus coverage.
- Clean Water: Adding RO filters to the two existing water coolers to ensure safe drinking water for all students.
- Upcoming Renovations: In the coming months, we will install a China Mosaic roof for heat insulation and lay brick pavers across the school grounds to improve the campus environment.

ग्रामीण राजस्थान में बालिकाओं को सशक्त बनाना
शिक्षा बदलाव का सबसे शक्तिशाली साधन है, खासकर भादसोड़ा, भिंडर और आसपास के मेवाड़ क्षेत्र के ग्रामीण इलाकों में। महात्मा गांधी स्कूल में हमें 300 छात्रों के समुदाय का समर्थन करने पर गर्व है, जिनमें से 80% लड़कियां स्थानीय और पड़ोसी ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों से हैं।
विद्या क्रांति के संस्थापक सदस्य डॉ. मुस्तफा बॉक्सवाला कई वर्षों से व्यक्तिगत रूप से इस स्कूल के विकास के लिए समर्पित हैं। आज, बुनियादी ढांचे और डिजिटल सुधारों के साथ यह सहयोग नई ऊंचाइयों पर पहुंच रहा है।
2025 की उपलब्धियां: सफलता की नींव
इस वर्ष, हमने 16 लाख रुपये की लागत से 1,600 वर्ग फुट की एक बड़ी विस्तार परियोजना को सफलतापूर्वक पूरा किया। इसमें शामिल हैं:
- दो बिल्कुल नए क्लासरूम: सीखने के लिए एक विशाल और आधुनिक वातावरण प्रदान करना।
- एक नई स्कूल रसोई (Kitchen): छात्रों के पोषण के लिए एक समर्पित स्थान सुनिश्चित करना।
डिजिटल साक्षरता: 20 कंप्यूटर वाली लैब
हमारा मानना है कि हर ग्रामीण छात्र को 21वीं सदी के कौशल सीखने का मौका मिलना चाहिए। इसे हकीकत बनाने के लिए हमने:
- नए क्लासरूम में से एक को विशेष कंप्यूटर लैब में बदल दिया है।
- 10 नए कंप्यूटर और फर्नीचर दान किए हैं, जिससे अब स्कूल में कुल 20 कंप्यूटर हो गए हैं।
- कंप्यूटर कक्षाएं शुरू हो गई हैं और 35 छात्र पहले ही अपना नामांकन (Enrollment) करा चुके हैं।
- विद्या क्रांति कंप्यूटर शिक्षकों का वेतन दे रही है ताकि पढ़ाई लगातार और अच्छी तरह से चलती रहे।
सुरक्षा और सुविधाएं
एक बेहतर स्कूल वही है जो सुरक्षित और आरामदायक हो। हमारे हालिया सुधारों में शामिल हैं:
- सुरक्षा: पुराने सीसीटीवी कैमरों की हार्ड डिस्क (2TB) को बदला गया और पूरे परिसर की सुरक्षा के लिए चार नए सीसीटीवी कैमरे जोड़े गए।
- साफ पानी: छात्रों को पीने का साफ पानी मिले, इसके लिए दो मौजूदा वाटर कूलरों में RO फिल्टर लगाए जा रहे हैं।
- आगामी कार्य: आने वाले महीनों में, हम गर्मी से बचाव के लिए छत पर चाइना मोज़ेक (China Mosaic) और स्कूल के मैदान में ब्रिक पेवर्स (ईंटें) लगाएंगे।
